Yes, Snively is indeed my favorite character. He's just got so much depth and dimension to his personality- you've got his sneaky, backstabbing, traitorous side... along with his power-hungry, ambitious side... along with his psycopathic, disturbed side... his bossy, self-centered, arrogant side... and all this built-up rage, bitterness, hatred, and frustration, due to all that he goes through in his everyday life. (And the really interesting thing is that these sides to him are not only the sides he keeps completely hidden from Robotnik- and does a very fantastic job at it, especially considering how hard it must be for him, due to all that he goes through- but these feelings and emotions are all part of one-another; like, one evolves into the next; they're all combined in a really unique and dimensional way...and each-and-every-one of them- in the end- are derived, inspired, and resulted from his sad, painful, and deprived life. (And this is perhaps why I love him in 'No Brainer', 'Cry of the Wolf', 'Drood Henge', 'Spyhog', and 'Doomsday'... I think 'No Brainer' was the episode that really introduced this whole other side to Snively, that the audience was NOT used to seeing- almost as if he were a completely different character altogether.)

Then you have the side Robotnik is completely used to seeing him as- the cowardly, grovelling, ignorant, dull, monotonous, obedient, loyal, little boot-licker of a lackey. And the really unique thing is that this part of him is false, but only to a point- his fear of him is truly geniune, though everything else is not- he only acts that way, because he knows its what Robotnik expects of him, because he knows it's how Robotnik is used to seeing him behave, and also because he doesn't want Robotnik to be on to him- for fear of his life in two ways, because (1) if Robotnik found out what a traitor his "loyal" nephew really was, he wouldn't stand for it, and (2) if Robotnik ever found out just how smart his "stupid" nephew really was, maybe even more so than him, he wouldn't stand for it- but also because he knows that he has no choice, that Robotnik would beat, roboticize, or kill him altogether if he didn't jump to his every command.

Then you may think that perhaps Snively isn't really a hate-filled, evil little baddie, deep down inside... that it's just been, understandably, molded into him, due to his horrible life-style over the years... that maybe, deep down inside, he is really a good person... that he just needs another chance- a chance to make amends with those he's hurt, to make a better person of himself, and to lead a happier life. He just needs a friend... somebody to care about/for him, to love him, to show him kindness, understanding, mercy, compassion, and forgiveness. ("I never thought he was such a bad little guy- maybe he just needed a little love.") And this- although never really hinted at in the show, or even in the comic, is a very fascinating concept which opens the door for several ideas and possibilities... just ask MistressAli or Ealaine.

And another reason that I love him is because... no matter what side of him he's expressing- his usual side, or his deep-down, hidden side- he just can never win the end, and you always end up feeling so bad for him. And not only that, but- either way- he's just a lil' cutie! (Though he's far more refreshing and delightful to watch when he's showing his true colors!) And you know, I think it's also those two things that contribute to my love for this character- my overall pity for him, and just how cute and hillarious he is!)

And you know... it's sad... but another reason I like him is because I can relate to him in almost every way. (When I look at Sniv', it's almost like- to a point- I'm looking at myself. It's scary...)

(Oh yeah- on a minor note, I not only have a thing for short, shrimpy, thin little guys- but guys with British accents!)
